About
Triangle Disaster Preparedness, located in the heart of the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill Triangle of North Carolina, was founded on December 11th, 2008 at the Office of the Secretary of State in downtown Raleigh by Jason Sents. With over 25 years of outdoors and extreme weather encounters, and over 10 years of professional experience working as an environmental field geologist and 3-D computerized cartographer in the environmental consulting field, Mr. Sents discovered that better approaches to the existing "cookie-cutter" products could be utilized for personal disaster preparedness using time-tested analytical and scientific methods. The concept was simple: provide training services to individuals, families, and business organizations to help them prepare for disasters before they occur. Furthermore, to understand the breadth of disasters unique to their environment by learning ways to constrain the number of probable realizations that any given catastrophic event could occur. Finally, for most people that live in or have relocated to The Triangle, disaster preparedness when times are stable is simply not a priority amidst the chaos of an already hectic day.
The ultimate goal of Triangle Disaster Preparedness is to provide a framework going forward that maximizes personal, family, and business safety and survival in the face of sudden catastrophic events. This will be facilitated by the development of strategic, analytically-guided methods for better defining the variables unique to your living and working environments. We want you to prepare so you don't have to recover.
